Vertical stirred mill (also named vertical spiral stirred mill or tower mill) is used for regrinding or secondary grinding of feed up to 6mm and to get P80 15-30μm mineral size.

Description

The machine is vertically installed and equipped with spiral agitating device. It consists of vertical grinding chamber, spiral agitator, transmission device and base frame. The spiral agitator is set up in the grinding chamber to stir the grind media, like steel ball, ceramic ball or gravel. The spiral agitator is driven by the transmission device, making cyclic movement and rotation. 

The material is feed into the machine from the bottom and lifted up by the spiral agitator. It is pressed and sheared by the friction with grinding media, becoming fine mineral powder, which is then taken away by the overflow. Coarse particle is remained in the mill for further grinding.This structure greatly enhances the grinding efficiency.
