Recommended Process:
  • Copper Scrap Recycling

    Metalcess provides high grade copper scrap directly producing hot-rolled electrical grade copper rod, and for low grade copper scrap providing TBRC smelting, copper electrorefining to produce LME-1 copper cathode.

  • Soldering Tin Recycling

    The tin & lead alloy, being soldering tin from WEEE recycling process or the byproduct from spiral finned crystallizer, and tin-containing lead grid from the lead acid battery are required by to remove lead from tin. Vacuum distillation furnace is highly recommended for tin & lead separation.

  • WEEE/PCB

    Metalcess provides two recycling process for different treatment capacity of WEEE/PCB, Recovery rate of precious and rare metal is higher than 97-99%.

  • Spent Lead Acid Battery Recycling

    Metalcess provides full process service covering crushing and separation, lead paste converting and smelting, lead paste solution purification and crystallization, lead grid smelting, refining and casting, treatment capacity from 2t/h -20 t/h are available.

  • Spent Lithium Battery

    Spent lithium battery contains valuable metals, with each representing in mass friction, including 5-10% cobalt, 5-7% lithium, 5-10% nickel, 5-10% copper and 5-10% aluminum, etc. The recovery of spent lithium battery will, especially, mitigate the shortage of cobalt.

  • Top Blown Rotary Converter (TBRC) Smelting

    Metalcess provide PM recovery≥99.6%, TBRC mini-scale smelting system to recover precious metal and rare metal from anode slime,WEEE/PCB/IC,copper scrap and gold-silver refining ash/slag/residue.

  • Rotary Reverberatory Furnace Smelting

    The furnace can be designed with effective working volume minimal 0.15m3, suitable for the recovery of anode slime, PM-containing smelting slag, lead refining dross and all kinds of dust. It can also treat secondary material like scrap copper, WEEE/PCB/IC and etc.

Slag/dross and leaching residue are produced from the process of metal extraction. The commonly-seen slag/dross/residue includes copper dross, lead dross, tin slag, zinc leaching residue, antimony/arsenic dross, cadmium residue/cake, sulfur residue/cake, vanadium slag, nickel slag, iron tailing and iron bearing red-mud waste.


Due to its low concentration, it may be not profitable to extract single metal, so it is usually landfilled. However, the increasing awareness of environment protection requires a safer and better treatment method. Comprehensive recovery of these slag/dross has been emphasized with greater attention.

Metal distillation is the thermodynamics process using the difference of boiling points of metal alloy to separate them from each other. Usually, the metal of low boiling points is evaporated from the liquid alloy and later the vapor is condensed in a separate container. In a distillation system, by setting up condensing elements along the evaporation passage, the metal of high boiling point gets condensed before taking away by the vapor. Consequently, low boiling point metal are purified.


Distillation technology is applied for many industrial sectors to treat scrap/waste generated from industrial production and daily use household, especially favored by high purity product application.

  • Lead & Tin Distillation Separation

    Metalcess provides vacuum distillation furnace for tin & lead separation and purification. Raw material can be soldering tin, Pb-Sn alloy and tin-containing lead grid from lead acid battery.

  • Hard Zinc Distillation Treatment

    Hard zinc from Hot dip galvanizing zinc process is used to separate zinc from hard zinc and get high purity zinc (≥99.996%)/ Fe-Al alloy(≤2% zinc content) by distillation technology.

  • Soldering Tin Purification

    The tin & lead alloy, being soldering tin from WEEE recycling process or the byproduct from spiral finned crystallizer, and tin-containing lead grid from the lead acid battery are required by removing lead from tin.Metal distillation process to get high purity lead and refined tin.

  • Cadmium Distillation

    Metalcess provides cadmium distillation furnace to recover cadmium material. The high cadmium-zinc can be treated by the distillation furnace directly to separate cadmium and zinc. Sponge cadmium is reduced and then purified by distillation furnace.
